About US

3dB SoundWorks is based out of sunny San Diego, California. We spend our time mixing, mastering, creating custom music, providing technical services, design/building custom speakers, acoustically designed studios, and performance spaces. Do to the current state of the world, the majority of our work is conducted “online”. The way music is created was forced to quickly evolve through the pandemic and ongoing lockdowns. Luckily modern tools has made it easy to broadcast a live mixing or mastering session and easily update technical specs and building plans for ongoing projects. This has allowed all of our clients to collaborate, in real time, from the comfort of their own spaces with familiar acoustics and speakers.

Our pursuit is to constantly interweave artistic and technical details to ultimately elevate the emotional and physical impact of music.

Current projects

Our various areas of expertise is a constant feedback system, constantly improving our craft. We are currently excited about our advances in small control room monitoring. By integrating our never ending R&D in small room acoustics with our custom designed speakers, we have made some incredible breakthroughs. By daily utilizing our own products and constantly refining and fine tuning them, we have a positive feedback circuit to create and refine true production tools and environments that work as a whole.

We are also excited to bring a new $10 million, 15.700 square foot music performance and recording facility featuring 30 foot ceiling heights and a reference ATMOS control room online during 2022.
